Nintendo has announced the release of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe update 1.6.0, offering up a fresh batch of content based on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

The update is available for download now, and includes a flashy Champion's Tunic for pointy-eared protagonist Link, plus the Master Cycle Zero. Complementing the Zelda-themed goodies are Ancient Tires and the Paraglider.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's latest update also introduces a bunch of gameplay improvements, although Ninty didn't specify them in the patch notes.

Originally released on the Wii U, Mario Kart 8's Switch edition features a heap of additional content and runs at a buttery-smooth 60fps and 1080p resolution while docked.

The game has flogged over nine million copies worldwide as of March 2018, making it second only to Super Mario Odyssey as the system's best-selling game to date.

If you haven't played Breath of the Wild, then you should probably think about giving it a shot.
