Classic kart racer Mario Kart 64 is coming to Wii U Virtual Console this Thursday, January 21, Nintendo has announced. The game will cost £8.99.

Mario Kart 64 debuted on Nintendo 64 shortly after the console’s launch in 1997, and was the first game in the series to use 3D tracks. It launched on Wii Virtual Console 9 years ago in early 2007.

The game is reported to be the second best-selling game on Nintendo 64 with 9.87m copies allegedly sold. The console’s top-selling game, Super Mario 64, sold 11.89m units.
