Rockstar revealed Manhunt 2 for Wii, PS2 and PSP back in February, but at the time wasn’t very forthcoming with the specifics. All we really knew back then was that the newly formed Rockstar London would be handling development of the PS2 and PSP versions in conjunction with Rockstar North, with Rockstar Toronto handling the Wii game.

Gaming blog Kotaku has noticed that US retailer GameStop’s listing for the game reveals some new information regarding the sequel’s plot.

An experiment at a secret research facility has gone catastrophically wrong. Daniel Lamb and Leo Kasper are the only surviving subjects. The Pickman Project will stop at nothing to hunt them down and stop the truth from getting out,” reads the GameStop listing.

According to the April issue of the UK Official PlayStation Magazine Daniel Lamb is a doctor who has been locked in an asylum by The Pickman Project. After breaking out he goes on the run with psychotic inmate Leo Kasper who trains up the doc in the brutal art of violence.

The game’s set for release in the summer so expect plenty more info soon.
