A man broke into Valve’s headquarters to steal over $40,000 of its games and equipment in a series of burglaries, and he has been summoned to appear in court in Washington (via KIRO 7).

Shawn Shaputis was seen on security cameras selling the stolen merchandise at a Game Stop. He’s known to authorities for his sticky fingers, but his magnum opus was when he drove off with a FedEx truck. He led police on a high-speed chase and scattered parcels across the motorways from Bellevue to Seattle, Washington.

Shaputis has six warrants for his arrest, and Valve filed the charges for the break ins last month. He is set to be arraigned, but if he doesn’t show up, another warrant for his arrest will be issued. The burning question is this: did he find Half-Life 3 hidden away in Valve's building? I won't speak for Shaputis, or his lawyer, but he likely didn't. As you were.
