Update: The New Nintendo 3DS XL The Legend of Zelda Majora’s Mask Edition is now available to pre-order from the Nintendo Store. For £209.99 you get the special edition New 3DS XL, a digital copy of Majora’s Mask 3DS, a charger and an exclusive Skull Kid Figurine.
Original report: UK gamers hoping to get their hands on the recently announced The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask New Nintendo 3DS XL will have to keep an eye on Nintendo’s official store, with GAME confirming that it won’t be stocking the special edition handheld.
It had been assumed GAME would be selling the handheld given that it regularly secures exclusive Nintendo products, but the retailer will only be selling the regular new handhelds and the Monster Hunter 4 New 3DS XL.
In a Tweet GAME wrote: “We won’t be stocking the MM New 3DS XL, unfortunately. You can purchase directly from the Nintendo Store.”
The Zelda handheld proved popular in the US, with retailer GameStop selling out of its allocation in just 15 minutes.
The New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL launch on February 13 priced £149.99 and £179.99 respectively. The Monster Hunter XL is available at GAME priced £209.99, and you can expect the Majora’s Mask edition to cost the same.
