A major new Dying Light expansion will be revealed behind closed doors at Gamescom next month, Techland has announced.

The content will let players experience Dying Light from a “totally new angle”, the developer says, with a teaser video suggesting that it could introduce vehicles and be set within an all-new area.

“We’re really excited to finally be able to show this major project we’ve been secretly working on since the release of the game,” said Dying Light producer Tymon Smektala. “This is Dying Light from totally new angle, but with everything fans love about the original still at the core.”

It isn’t yet clear whether the content will be included in the game’s Season Pass.

Dying Light launched on Xbox One, PS4 and PC back in January and became the fastest-selling new IP in the survival horror genre.
