A post on the official Mafia II website has confirmed the release platforms for Mafia II as PC, Xbox 360 and PC (Games for Windows), with gameplay said to be “virtually identical across all platforms”.
The same update also revealed some slight story information.
“… a dark and seductive story about one man’s journey through the unforgiving world of the Mob. Set in an open-world environment, Mafia II ushers you into Empire City during the 1940s and 1950s.”
Mafia II is confirmed for release in Take-Two’s fiscal 2009, which begins November 2008.
