Original report: A new trailer for Mafia 3 will be released today at 1pm BST, publisher 2K has announced.

The new trailer arrives after industry insider Wario64 revealed on Twitter that the game will launch “in the same month as Gears of War 4”, which hits stores October 11.

Last we heard Mafia 3 was to release at some point between April and December 2016.

Developed by 2K’s Hangar 13 studio, Mafia 3 will follow Vietnam veteran Lincoln Clay as he seeks revenge against the Italian mob. The game is set in 1968 New Orleans and promises to tell a “captivating story set in the treacherous and calculated world of organized crime”.
