Week 9 of the NFL regular season is officially in the books. And along with its conclusion, Madden 23 revealed its latest TOTW today for the MUT community. Every game week, there’s a new group of players that rise to the occasion, delivering some sensational performances in the process.

Though each game week has been special in its own right, the Week 9 slate of matchups presented fans with some unreal performances that resembled numbers you could put up in a game of Madden 23.

While there’s a couple of no brainers for the Madden 23 Week 9 TOTW selection, the question that still remains is who else will be featured on the list?

NOW READ: In case you missed it, here’s a look at all of the Madden 23 Week 8 TOTW players.

Every Tuesday at 10:30AM ET, Madden 23 reveals its newest set of TOTW players that fans will be able to acquire in-game at 4PM ET that same day.

Today was no different. Madden 23 revealed its Week 9 TOTW players and there’s plenty of awesome new cards fans will want to add to their lineups.

On that note, let’s dive right in.

Offensive Player Of The Week (93 Overall)

One of the no brainers I was referring to is the Offensive Player Of The Week, which is none other than the Cincinnati Bengals running back, Joe Mixon. Talk about a career day, Mixon put forth a historic performance that undeniably earned him this TOTW honor in Madden 23.

On 22 carries, Mixon rushed for 153 yards and four touchdowns, and caught another four of his five targets for 58 yards and a touchdown as well. In other words, Mixon had 211 total yards from scrimmage and five touchdowns in the Bengals 42-21 victory over the Carolina Panthers. Simply incredible.

Defensive Player Of The Week (93 Overall)

I know we had a New England Patriot as the Defensive Player Of The Week for the Week 8 Madden 23 TOTW. But after the way the New England Patriots flat out dominated the Indianapolis Colts, one of their defensive stars needed to be featured once more in Week 9’s TOTW, and this week, Madden 23 selected CB Jonathan Jones.

In the Patriots 26-3 win over the Colts, Jones had a pick six, a pass defended, a tackle, and a blocked punt. Jones showed he could do it all both defensively and on special teams, playing an integral role in the Patriots commanding defensive win.

Limited Editions (93 Overall)

Since Madden 23’s Week 7 TOTW release, they’ve now added two Limited Edition (LTD) players fans can pursue each week, one offensive and one defensive.

Limited Edition players are usually active players in the NFL who are being celebrated for special performances that took place during the same game week but in previous seasons.

Here’s the two LTDs that were selected for the Week 9 TOTW:

1. Julio Jones (WR) â€“ Falcons

In the Atlanta Falcons Week 9 win against the Indianapolis Colts in 2011, wide receiver Julio Jones caught three of his four targets for 131 yards and two touchdowns. Jones also had two rushing attempts for an additional 33 yards as well. Mind you, this was Jones’ rookie season in the NFL.

2. Emmanuel Ogbah (LE) â€“ Dolphins

In the Miami Dolphins Week 9 win over the Houston Texans last year, left defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah had himself four combined tackles, four quarterback hits, 2.5 sacks, and a pass defended. The Dolphins star defensive lineman had a special week just a year ago and Madden 23 felt he deserved to be their second LTD.

Special Limited Edition (93 Overall)

This week, Madden 23 revealed a new Special Performance Limited Edition player in honor of that players’ Week 8 performance for their new team. This Special Performance LTD player is the one and only Christian McCaffrey, who set the record books ablaze with a sensational performance.

In the San Francisco 49ers 31-14 win over the Los Angeles Rams in Week 8 of this season, McCaffrey rushed for 94 yards on 18 attempts and a touchdown, reeled in eight of his nine targets for 55 yards and a touchdown, and completed his sole pass attempt of the day for a 34-yard touchdown strike to wide receiver Brandon Ayuk.

McCaffrey became the first running back to rush for a touchdown, receive a touchdown, and pass for a touchdown since the great LaDainian Tomlinson did so for the Chargers back in 2005.

Record Breaker Hero (90 Overall)

Madden 23 revealed an additional, new Record Breaker Hero for the Week 9 TOTW drop. This new special category was added in this week to honor Chicago Bears Quarterback Justin Fields for breaking the NFL record for most rushing yards by a quarterback in a single game.

Though the Chicago Bears came up just short in their 35-32 loss against the Miami Dolphins, it shouldn’t have been that close and only was because of Fields. Fields did it all, both through the air and on the ground. Fields completed 17 of his 28 pass attempts for 123 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions. He also ran with the ball 15 times for 178 yards and a touchdown, a new NFL record.

Heroes (90 Overall)

Madden 23 has been featuring ESPN Fantasy Football Analyst Matthew Berry in their TOTW Program by having him select a Hero every week for the rest of the season.

Each of Berry’s Madden 23 Heroes comes with two versions. One is usually the rating of a Hero (so 90 overall this week) and the other is now a 85 overall BND version that you can unlock by completing in-game challenges.

If you collect all of Berry’s premium Hero players (all of the 89 and 90 overall versions), you will receive an exclusive player reward come the end of the season.

For Week 9, Berry selected Sauce Gardner as his Week 9 TOTW Hero. In the Jets improbable 20-17 win over the elite Buffalo Bills, Gardner led the team in combined tackles (7) and came up with a huge interception in the third quarter (his second of the season).

  1. Dallas Goedert (TE) – Eagles
  2. Sauce Gardner (CB) – Jets

High Elites (87 Overall)

  1. Mecole Hardman (WR) – Chiefs
  2. Kerby Joseph (FS) – Lions

Low Elites (84 Overall)

  1. Cameron Dicker (K) – Chargers
  2. Josh Uche (ROLB) – Patriots
