A new and improved LOVEFiLM app for PlayStation 3 has launched, offering a host of new and improved functionality including high definition support.
SmoothStreaming technology means the videos you watch should look better, says LOVEFiLM. The app is constantly monitoring your broadband speed, delivering the best image quality your connection can handle – which has been updated to enable high definition.
General navigation is also said to be improved – “glide-y” is the term used in the press release – and improvements to search and recommendations should make the experience an altogether better one.
Another nice touch is a new homepage which keeps track of what you’ve been watching, allowing you to easily resume from the point at which you left a movie.
