Lost Planet 3 will launch in North America on June 26, and across Europe on June 28, Capcom has announced.

Capcom initially stated that Lost Planet 3 would be launching in “early 2013”.

Alongside the release date announcement, Capcom also issued a new trailer and a selection of new screenshots for the sci-fi shooter. Head through to our screenshot gallery to take a closer look, or check out the video below.

Lost Planet 3 is being developed by Turning Point: Fall of Liberty creators Spark Unlimited and is set for release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The game tells the story of Jim Peyton, a miner sent to E.D.N. III to prepare the planet for colonisation.

The game is said to be set long before the events of the original Lost Planet, and will feature a mixture of first-person rig-based combat and third-person shooting.
