Capcom has announced that giant beast slaying sequel Lost Planet 2 will be released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on May 11, one week earlier than had been scheduled. A PC version is still on track for release this Autumn.
The early release date is joined by news of a multiplayer demo, due for release on Xbox LIVE and PSN on April 22. The 16-player demo will let you fight on foot or jump into one of the game’s new Vital Suits on the Turbulent Jungle map from the online versus mode.
Anyone who plays the demo will get immediate access to the Machine Gun SP, which fires three round bursts, when they get their hands on the full retail release in May.
If you simply can’t wait until April 22, a number of early access codes will be released on the Lost Planet 2 website from March 31.
