Monster Hunter Freedom 3 is Capcom’s biggest selling console or handheld title for the nine months ended December 2010, the publisher has revealed in its 3rd Quarter Report.
The hugely popular PSP title shipped 4.1 million units, considerably more than the company’s other big games for the period.
Dead Rising 2 shipped 2.2 million units, Super Street Fighter IV managed 1.6 million, while the disappointing Lost Planet 2 only managed 1.5 million.
For comparison, Capcom’s Resident Evil 5 has shipped over 5.5 million units as of the end of 2010. The original Lost Planet has shipped 1.5 million units on the Xbox 360 alone, which puts the sales of the sequel into focus.
