Konami has announced it is bringing its Lost in Blue franchise to the Wii, with the autumn release of Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked. The survival adventure game sees players stranded on a mysterious island and with the help of trusty pets and new friends must explore the island and find a way home or build a new life.
The Wii game promises vibrant 3D graphics that will make the island environment, weather systems and items more life-like than in the DS games. The game will also sport an island tutorial with a greater focus on exploration to ensure new players can more easily enter into the adventure.
The Wii Remote and Nunchuck will also be put to full use, with players realistically carrying out survival tasks across more than 40 mini-games including fishing, carpentry, fire-making and other new cooperative games.
“Building upon the success of the previous Lost in Blue DS titles, we wanted to give fans an extended experience in the first console version of the series,” said Anthony Crouts, Vice President of Marketing for Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. “Bringing the series to Wii will ensure fans receive the most exciting, immersive survival adventure game to date.”
Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked! is scheduled for release this autumn in North America. There’s currently no word on a European release, but expect it to follow at a later date.
