Treyarch has revealed that there are no plans to bring Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 to the Nintendo Switch at the moment.
Speaking to Twinfinite during a roundtable interview, the developer was quizzed if they had plans to bring 'any aspect' of the upcoming first-person shooter to Ninty's hybrid powerhouse.
In response, Senior Producer Yale Miller simply commented, 'No, there is not.'
It's probably not surprising considering none of the Call of Duty games have launched on a Nintendo system in the past few years. However, unlike the Wii for example, the Switch isn't trailing behind its competitors in terms of raw horsepower, so we're pretty confident it could run Black Ops 4.
Regardless of Treyarch's reasons for leaving Switch out of the picture, there's always a chance things could change down the line.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is pencilled in for release on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on October 12. The game includes a new battle royale mode called Blackout and will not feature a traditional campaign.
Zombies is also back, and this time you can play with bots if you don't fancy teaming up with anyone.
