RocketWerkz, the studio set up by Dean Hall, who created DayZ, has unveiled the first teaser for their next game project. Entitled Living Dark, it’s described as a ‘neo-noir adventure driven by a procedural narrative.’

In fact, the procedural nature is set to be a large feature of the game with the game’s website saying that the game’s ‘procedural mission systems, characters and dialogue mean the events around you are generated as a consequence of your actions, relationships and choices.’ RocketWerkz promises that ‘no two playthroughs will ever unfold the same way.’

Multiple playstyles are also promised, with players able to undertake investigations by gathering ‘physical and digital clues, chase leads and exploit personal connections’ before heading into conflict, where they’ll be able use weapons both ranged and hand-to-hand available as well as the ability ‘socially engineer’ your way out of situations (presumably meaning non-violent methods such as talking).

Interestingly, Living Dark was apparently originally conceived as a movie in the early 2000s by creative director Rashad Redic, who worked on such titles as Skyrim, Fallout 3 and Crysis 3.

No platforms or release date has yet been announced, but you can read up further information on the game’s website.
