Eight classic Skylanders characters are being re-released under a new ‘Eon’s Elite’ toy line this autumn, featuring a brand new finish and a major power boost over usual Skylanders characters.
The Eon’s Elite characters will originate from the original Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure and feature a distinct metallic finish, golden base and come packaged in an exclusive display case.
They’ll also be up to three times as powerful as other Skylanders characters when played in-game, representing the “biggest in-game boosts ever incorporated into a Skylanders toy to date”.
Spyro and Chop Chop will be the first two characters to release in the Eon’s Elite collection, with a further six to follow.
“Eon’s Elite represents the most iconic characters from the original Skylanders game that started it all,” said Josh Taub, senior vice president of product marketing at Activision Publishing. “These eight toys are not only premium quality but also honour the characters’ strength, courage and commitment. We’re excited to extend our fans’ collections with this new line.”
The Elite toys will go on sale this autumn and be available in limited quantities from Amazon. A price for the characters has yet to be confirmed.
