Lighthouse Interactive has today announced worldwide publishing rights to the strategy war title East India Company. The PC title will challenge gamers to establish profitable trade routes throughout the world and is based on the exploits and adventures of the infamous 18th century East India Companies.

Developed by Finland based Nitro Games, players will work towards creating the World’s largest trading empire and will engage in breathtaking cinematic battles in both the single-player campaign and multiplayer modes.

Players will assume the role of Governor Director of one of the East India Companies or other rival companies, with eight nationalities to choose from: British, Dutch, French, Danish, Portuguese, Swedish, Italian or Spanish.

The game’s proprietary game engine promises to take strategy war titles to new levels with realistically modeled ships and environments.

East India Company is scheduled for release on PC in Q4 2008.
