Life Is Strange has sold 1 million units, Square Enix has announced, with the fourth episode set to arrive on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC next Tuesday, July 28.

The publisher describes the milestone as a “huge achievement” for developer Dontnod, adding that it’s “incredibly proud” of the episodic game’s success.

It isn’t clear whether the statistic accounts for combined sales across all episodes or downloads of the initial episode. I’d assume the former, but I’ve checked in with a Square Enix representative for clarification.

Episode 4 – Dark Room, meanwhile, sees Max entering “unexplored and daunting territory” as she continues to investigate the disappearance of Rachel Amber. “As the End of the World party approaches, Max must use her powers to put all the pieces of the puzzle in place,” Square says.

The series will conclude with the fifth episode, which is expected to release later this year.
