Lies of P was originally announced in 2021 and it caught the attention of many. It isn’t very often you get a game inspired by the likes of Bloodborne and other souls games come out, inspired by a story that in more recent times has been so adored by children.
Yet, that is what developers Neowiz Games are trying to do with Lies of P. In Lies of P you will play as Pinnochio on his journey to become human, whilst also trying to uncover what happened in the city of Krat.
This reimagining of a classic fairy tale looks like it will have lots to offer with multiple endings and interconnected procedural quests. What is most impressive is how the game looks to use lying as a mechanic in the game, and the things you lie about will dictate where certain questlines go.

Up until this weekend, we still weren’t exactly sure on when we could get our hands on lies of P and explore Krat for ourselves, but now we have an official release date.
When will Lies of P Release?
If you’re excited for Lies of P then you won’t have to wait long. The Pinocchio soulslike will be playable in August. We still don’t have an exact day, but at the very least we have a more accurate idea of when we can play this new take on a classic story.
