LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, the latest chapter in the hugely successful video game series from TT Games and Activision will now be released on March 25, a month later than previously planned.

No reason for the delay was given.

The new LEGO adventure will plunge players into the heart of the Clone Wars era, with 20 brand new story-based missions and 40 bonus levels. In addition to classic LEGO Star Wars action, the game will allow players to take control of battalions of clone troopers, going up against the relentless droid army in RTS style gameplay.

The game’s coming to Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PC, Nintendo DS, PSP and 3DS.

We assume the new date will allow Activision to publish the game across all formats, including the Nintendo 3DS on the same day. The complete 3DS day one line-up hasn’t been confirmed, but LEGO Star Wars would be a solid series to have around at launch.
