Ever since the launch of the latest Fortnite Chapter 6, new gameplay, movement mechanics, weapons, and even game modes have emerged. Modes like Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 1 and the upcoming Ballistic 5v5 FPS mode are providing more options to players to stay within the game’s ecosystem.
However, Epic has also now finally announced its open-world game mode which has been hinted at for a long time, but not in the way players had thought of. The mode is coming to LEGO Fortnite and will offer an experience as rich as GTA Online and Sims 4.
LEGO Fortnite’s Brick Life open world roleplaying mode coming with next update
Fortnite announced its upcoming new game mode in LEGO Fortnite called Brick Life which is an all-new social roleplay experience in the LEGO Fortnite world, launching on December 12th. According to Epic, in LEGO Fortnite Brick Life, as you explore this bustling city with up to 31 other players, you’ll find it’s full of interesting locales to explore and landmarks to admire.
The announcement also revealed that the city where Brick Life takes place is called Brick Bay, which offers all the aforementioned amenities, but also a wide variety of jobs. You can roleplay as a messenger, academy teacher, security officer, prankster, bartender – but only serving milk tea – or even a fortune teller.
You’ll be able to pick up jobs, earn money, build your own house, buy vehicles, and ride them, just like you do in GTA Online. Here are the roles you can pick when the game mode is out:
- Courier – Deliver parcels to other Brick Bay residents!
- Academy Professor – Share your knowledge with the class at Moundale Academy.
- Security Officer – Make sure crime doesn’t pay.
- Scoundrel – Prank fellow city-goers.
- Sushi Chef – Serve up the tastiest fish in Brick Bay!
- Bobom Milk Tea Bobarista – Serve Brick Bay’s most refreshing beverage.
- Fortune Teller – What does your future hold? New furniture!
The mode will also have a new Phone device handed to all players where businesses will occasionally send out calls for help. At launch, LEGO Fortnite Brick Life will be available on all platforms and regions where Fortnite is supported, with the exception of South Korea.
