On the back of the huge launch success for Pokemon Go, Deadline has heard that Legendary Pictures is moving to secure the rights to a live-action film based on the catch-em all franchise.
Whilst Deadline has little info on Legendary’s proposal, it has been told that discussions are heading in the right direction and a deal could be struck soon.
Legendary has, however, been rumoured to be close to penning a deal before, with progress apparently stalling.
The hugely successful launch of Pokemon Go makes the franchise a super hot property right now, so landing a deal could be huge for Legendary.
None of the parties involved have commented on the rumour.
