Legend of the Dragon, a 3D fighting game for the Wii, is based on the popular children’s TV show which has been shown all across Europe including the BBC. The game begins just as a new Golden Dragon has been selected – the honourable title given to the warrior chosen to fight the evil Zodiac Master, Woo Yin.
Ang Leung has been chosen as the new Golden Dragon, but this displeases his twin sister, Ling. She quickly defects to the dark side and the role of Shadow Dragon, and becomes an enemy of her brother.
The player will be able to choose to play as one of 19 characters, each with magical wristbands that enable them to transform into mystical warriors of the zodiac. The game also features an innovative real-time spell casting system, plus an RPG element implemented through various available power-ups.
Visually the game will feel familiar to fans of the series, with locations including Hong Kong Bay, The Dragon Dojo and The Great Wall of China all recreated using cel-shading technology.
Legend of the Dragon is scheduled for release in Q2 2007.
