According to recent comments made by Media Molecule, it seems highly unlikely that we’ll see a LittleBigPlanet sequel, with the developer instead choosing to bolt-on new content through DLC.
“I think what you’ve seen so far from LittleBigPlanet, that’s the way it’s going to continue,” said producer Martin Lynagh in reference to the game’s steady stream of DLC.
Commenting on releasing a sequel, level designer Danny Leaver added: “We’d never want to do that. That’d be the most counterproductive thing you could do I think.”
LittleBigPlanet is out now for PS3 and is currently celebrating its one year anniversary.
