Sony’s reveal of Fumito Ueda’s The Last Guardian at E3 was slightly overshadowed by earlier leaks, but nonetheless the game proved to be one of the highlights of the show.
Ico and Shadow of the Colossus creator Fumito Ueda says “the tremendous response” the game received at E3 came as a “shock”. While he was happy to see such a strong reaction to the game, Ueda admits to trying to remain shut off from chatter about the game “to avoid unnecessary pressure” this would bring.
The slow trickle of new info looks set to continue, with Ueda revealing that new announcements are likely to be made at E3 or later in the year at the Tokyo Game Show.
“There are a lot of things I cannot talk about right now, but this year I’d like to make new announcements,” said Ueda. “Whether that’s at E3 or the Tokyo Game Show, that is something that will be decided.”
