3DS puzzler adventure game, Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights, will be released this summer, Konami has announced.

Set in 19th Century Paris, Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights centres on a treasure map that details a series of locations the player must visit as the game progresses.

Doctor Lautrec, an archaeology professor, is not a popular man at the University where he teaches, with his unorthodox attitudes also reflected in his less than moral ways of tackling puzzles. He’s not alone, though, assisted by a student called Sophie.

The game makes full use of the system’s capabilities to add 3D solutions to key puzzles, including the ability to inspect objects from all directions, or zoom in to highlight a piece of scenery that matches something on the map.

All linking story scenes are also presented in 3D.

Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights will be released for Nintendo 3DS in summer 2011.

Professor Layton anyone?
