With every high profile release comes the inevitable broken street date, so it comes as no great surprise to hear that gamers are already getting their hands on Konami’s Metal Gear Solid 4 ahead of its June 12 release.
There are now numerous reports of gamers having already purchased a copy of the game from US retail giant Wal-Mart.
“Unfortunately, these things happen,” said a Konami spokesperson. “As much as we like see that no one breaks streets dates, no one can monitor every single moment that a title gets packed up for shipment and when its on its way to the stores… The store could be at fault as well, for letting someone get a copy before the street date.”
