The game is being developed in-house by Monte Cristo and will thrust players into a “stunning fantasy world of magic, machines and mayhem.” You and your companions will utilise spectacular magic spells or harness the power of science, making choices on your quest that take you along a path of nature or technology.

The game is set in the fantasy world of Nelwë, where the inhabitants have relied on mighty elemental wizards to keep order. However, the invention of steam power has shaken-up this ancient social order and lead to separation into two factions: those turning to the power of nature, and those believing in science. This conflict has been seized upon by the forces of darkness that lay siege on the magic domains in an attempt to gain power.

You won’t be alone on your quest, as the game will let you travel with two AI controlled companions, and co-op play will even let you play with up to seven other human controlled characters.

Silverfall is scheduled for release in the UK in October.
