Nintendo of Europe has announced that Kirby’s Epic Yarn, revealed at E3 earlier this year for an autumn launch in the US, will be released across Europe in Q1 2011.

Kirby’s new adventure was one of the highlights from the annual expo, and it will come as a major disappointment for fans looking forward to enjoying its charms this Christmas.

The game’s Q1 2011 launch doesn’t mean Wii gamers will be left unsatisfied this year though. The autumn/winter line-up includes Metroid: Other M and Tetris Party on September 3, Wii Party of October 8 and Donkey Kong Country: Returns before the year’s out.

Kirby’s Epic Yarn will be available to play on the gamescom 2010 show floor, along with a host of Nintendo’s first-party games including The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Metroid: Other M and Wii Party.
