Publisher THQ Nordic has announced that updated RPG re-release Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning will get its Fatesworn DLC on December 14.

The expansion is all-new for the Re-Reckoning release of the game. It’ll include a brand new story where you’ll have to face up against the God of Chaos in a new quest lasting around six hours and set after the events of the original game. There’s a brand new environment to explore named Mithros, set in the snowy mountains.

Chaos in fact is a brand new gameplay mechanic introduced in this DLC. You’ll find it in weapons, enemies, rifts and even new Chaos Portals that house brand new dungeons. There’s new enemies, new armour sets, new weapons and new accessories. Elsewhere you’ll find new twist of fate cards, a new way to complete rare item sets and much, much more. There’s also new music from the game’s original composer Grant Kirkhope.

It’s an impressively full featured expansion and you can check out a trailer down below. Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning Fatesworn will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on December 14. If you don’t already own the base game, you’ll also be able to pick up a new Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning Fate Edition with the expansion included on the same day.
