Square Enix has announced that Kingdom Hearts 3 will receive its Critical Mode update today, giving players a chance to tackle the Disney-RPG on its hardest difficulty setting.
Fans of the series should be familiar with Critical Mode, as it’s been featured in a number of previous Kingdom Hearts games, and includes variants such as increasing the amount of damage you take and fewer gains from AP and HP bonuses.
‘Greetings, it’s been a while since I last posted,’ Tweeted Tetsuya Nomura. ‘Spring is here, and I hope everyone is doing well. #KingdomHearts III's long-awaited Critical Mode is available as a free update tomorrow (PT). We’ve changed things up from the previous games, so I hope you enjoy.’
Kingdom Hearts 3 launched for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in January, and quickly shipped over five million copies worldwide. Read Josh's review here.
