The NPD Group has confirmed that Kingdom Hearts 3 was the best-selling video game in the US for January 2019.
In addition to scoring the number one slot last month, the Disney-flavoured RPG also gave the franchise its first top spot position since Kingdom Hearts 2 way back in April 2006. Yes, it's been a long time.
Square Enix previously revealed that Kingdom Hearts 3 had shipped over five million copies worldwide, so we already knew it had set tills alight.
Elsewhere, Resident Evil 2 came in second place, drumming up three times as much dough as the original version of the survival horror title back in 1998. It probably also helped that Resi 2 remake was available on three platforms from the get-go.
Kingdom Hearts 3 didn't exactly leave a lasting impression on Josh, although I thought Resident Evil 2 was bloody fantastic.
