The highly anticipated title, based on the motion picture due for release on December 14th, has gone gold on PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube and PC, with the titles reaching retail across Europe on November 17th, as will the GBA version. The Xbox 360 version is slated to go gold in the first week of November, ready for an early December release, and PSP and DS versions of the game will launch soon after that.

The response among the media, core gamers and the mass-market audience has been tremendous and we can’t wait to launch Ubisoft’s most impressive and successful game of 2005 – Peter Jackson’s King Kong The Official Game of the Movie,” said Yves Guillemot, president and chief executive officer of Ubisoft.

King Kong certainly looks like being one of the most impressive move licensed games ever made, but our final judgement will be made when we review the game in November.
