First Edge reports that it’s heard from a trusted source that Gears of War 3 will be released on April 8, 2011 – the game to be teased in trailer form only weeks from now – and now 1UP says it’s heard the game will be going up against PS3 exclusive first-person shooter, Killzone 3.
While not pinpointing a release date, 1UP reports: “We’ve heard that the next Killzone game, Killzone 3, is scheduled for a release in the same time frame as Gears of War 3 next year.”
The two gritty action titles would certainly make for an exciting Easter, with Marcus Fenix going up against Thomas ‘Sev’ Sevchenko.
