All 10,000 places on the Killzone 3 beta were taken in half an hour, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced.
In a tweet, SCEE said: “FYI, 10,000 SCEE Plus members downloaded the Killzone 3 beta theme in half an hour.”
Those who were successful in downloading the theme will shortly receive an email containing beta access details.
The beta test will begin on October 25 and will give players the chance to sample the multiplayer mode for Killzone 3, including the all-new Operations game type, party system, and jetpack and exoskeleton vehicles.
While the 10,000 PS Plus subscribers who secured a place in the beta will no doubt be pleased they took out a paid membership, those who have missed out but are also paying a monthly fee aren’t likely to be very impressed.
It will be interesting to see if further beta tests take places over the coming months which are opened up to all PS Plus subscribers.
