A Killzone 3 open beta will run February 3 through February 15, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced.
Access will be given to all PSN members, giving players the chance to try out four game modes on the Frozen Dam multiplayer level.
MP05 ‘Frozen Dam’ is described as a sprawling asymmetrical map set in an old dam facility. The playing field in MP05 has been carefully tailored to fit each of the multiplayer modes.
These are the four multiplayer modes available in the beta: Guerrilla Warfare (16 players), Warzone (24 players), Operations (16 players) and Botzone (one player and up to 15 bots).
Killzone 3 will be released February 25.
Given that Killzone 3 has already gone gold, this beta is presumably in place to iron out any last minute problems which can be addressed with a day one patch.
