Developer Ember Lab has announced that upcoming adventure game Kena: Bridge of Spirits will be delayed by one month.

The studio announced the delay in a tweet. It said: “The team has been working extremely hard and we feel the extra time is critical to ensure the best experience possible. We know many of you are eager to play and we appreciate your patience as the team continues to work on delivering the best version of Kena.”

The game sees you play as Kena, a young spirit guide who finds and grows a team of spirit companions called Rot. Teaming up with them, she’ll uncover a forgotten community hiding out in an overgrown forest that traps wandering spirits. Different members of the Rot will infer powerful abilities and transform the environment. You’ll have to use these powers to defend yourself from corrupted souls and restore the world to its former splendour.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits was first announced last summer, and most recently showed off its gorgeous world during a State of Play broadcast back in February. A behind-the-scenes look at the game was also showcased back in June at the first ever Tribeca Games Showcase as part of the famous film festival, which you can see in the video we’ve posted below.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits will now launch on September 21 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.
