Telltale’s upcoming Jurassic Park: The Game – which recently slipped from April to an autumn release date – will be sold as a boxed retail product on the Xbox 360, the developer has revealed.

A press release states the game will be launching on 360 “in North America as a retail release containing the full series on disc.” Telltale has not revealed if it will also be publishing the game via retail channels in Europe.

It is also currently uncertain if Jurassic Park will follow Telltale’s typical episodic route on the PC and PS3, though the game will be released simultaneously for all platforms.

The news follows yesterday’s announcement that the adventure game developer, based in San Rafael, had reached a publishing agreement with Microsoft for the Xbox 360.

After announcing that Jurassic Park would not make its April 2011 release on PC, the developer issued a full refund to customers who had pre-ordered the game alongside a voucher allowing customers their choice of one free Telltale game.

Telltale is certainly keeping busy. Alongside Jurassic Park, the studio is also working on The Walking Dead, Puzzle Agent 2, Law & Order: Los Angeles, Fables, Hector: Badge of Carnage and a new entry in the long-dormant Kings Quest series.

Jurassic Park is being released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and Mac in the Autumn.
