Peter Jackson, director of the Lord of the Rings trilogy and King Kong, has revealed his Halo video game project, Halo Chronicles, has been cancelled.
Announced back in 2006, to be developed by Wingnut Interactive, a video game development studio formed from a partnership between Microsoft Game Studios and Jackson, Halo: Chronicles was expected to be released in episodes for the Xbox 360.
However, following the collapse of the Halo movie, Jackson says the video game project also faded away.
“That Halo project is no longer happening, it sort of collapsed when the movie didn’t end up happening,” he told Joystiq.
