To say Blizzard made a huge splash with Overwatch is something of an understatement. Even now, more than a year after the game’s launch its popularity shows no sign of wavering. But Blizz isn’t resting on its laurels, and a job advert spotted today may throw up some clues as to their next project.
Spotted by user Nirolak on the Resetera forums, the job listing on the Blizzard website is for the position of a ‘Senior Software Engineer, Gameplay, Vehicles’ which will entail the successful candidate being responsible to ‘help create vehicles and build vehicle handling features in a robust first-person engine for an unannounced project.’
The rest of the advert goes through the fairly standard points pertaining to the role after that, but it’s certainly interesting to hear about what might be coming next for the studio, whether that’s something in the Overwatch universe or something new entirely.
Overwatch itself meanwhile is currently enjoying its second Winter Wonderland event.
