Valorant is one of the most popular hero shooters around – with millions of players regularly battling it out every day.
Right now, PC gamers can play Valorant via Xbox Game Pass, through the Riot Games launcher and through the Epic Games Store. But is it on PS4 and PS5?
That’s where we come in – here’s everything you need to know about it.
Is Valorant on PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch?
In short, Riot Games’ Valorant is not on PS4 or PS5, neither is it on the Nintendo Switch – at least not yet.
The only way you can play the game right now is on PC (you can also play the game via the Xbox Game Pass App), so long as it meets the minimum system requirements.
The good news is that this could well change in the future. Speaking to Gamespot in 2020, Riot’s Anna Donlon admitted they are ‘prototyping’ a console version of the game, but stated that this would only happen if was of a sufficient standard and did not have to ‘compromise’.

“We are definitely prototyping that right now,” she said. “But there’s a way to play this game and there’s a way to experience this game that we’re not entirely sure translates completely to console play.”
She added: “If we feel like we can deliver this experience on those platforms, we absolutely will.
“But we really want Valorant to stand for a certain type of gameplay and a certain type of experience.”
Following Overwatch 2’s lead and creating a game that can be enjoyed across multiple platforms would certainly seem to be a great move for Valorant.
After all, according to Tracker.gg stats, more than 4,000,000 players regularly play the game every day.
What about Valorant Mobile?
Despite no official confirmation, there are already rumours and leaks speculating we could well see a mobile version of the Valorant this year. This does need to be taken with a pinch of salt, though.
Again, we are starting to see the likes of Warzone and other key free-to-play games break into the mobile market, so this could well be a good move for Riot with Valorant. We’ll be sure to keep you updated if we hear anything concrete.
