Is Modern Warfare 2 Crossplay?
At the time of speaking, Modern Warfare 2 (MW2) does have crossplay, this was quite obvious as previous years before cross play was integrated starting with MW2’s predecessor, Modern Warfare (2019).
The integration of Warzone has helped allow crossplay become a normality when it comes to the Call of Duty multiplayer experience, so it’s no surprise that crossplay has again made a return to MW2.
Removing crossplay would put a mark on what is now a staple in the online experience in Call of Duty, so it’s no surprise Infinity Ward have kept it in the game – seeing how popular it is to play with friends across different platforms.
How to enable crossplay in MW2
Enabling crossplay is straightforward in MW2, here’s how you do it:
- Load up Modern Warfare 2
- Head over to the settings in the top right
- Click over to ‘Options’
- Head to ‘Account’
- Here, you’ll see the option for crossplay, ensure it’s on enabled.
This same method also applies to when you want to disable crossplay, just make sure you’ve selected disable on the option for crossplay once you’ve re-visited your account settings.
