The Mortal Kombat 1 early access period is well underway, and fans of NetherRealm’s excessively gory fighting game are now busy perfecting their combos and finishing moves. Much like any other significant release that emphasizes online game modes, however, connectivity problems are inevitable, so you may be curious about the status of the game’s servers.
Of course, this pre-release phase is only accessible to those who purchased either the Premium or Kollector’s versions of the game, meaning you’ll have to wait until the actual Mortal Kombat 1 release date to learn how to do a fatality and how to do a brutality if you opted for the standard version. That said, if you want to know what the MK1 server status is, we’ve got you covered here.
Are Mortal Kombat 1 servers down?
No, Mortal Kombat 1 servers are not currently down. Even though the game’s closed beta period suffered from an avalanche of eager users at launch, it seems NetherRealm Studios were able to shore up their servers as players have been able to access the pre-release phase with little to no issue. However, it is worth noting that some gamers initially had trouble entering early access, which may have been caused by the Mortal Kombat 1 patch notes released alongside it.
Keep in mind, though, that since the early access period will have fewer players compared to the actual launch, the Mortal Kombat 1 servers may yet suffer the full wrath of an excited horde of fighting game community members. With this in mind, we will keep this page updated with the latest information so you know whether or not you’ll be able to jump in and play the game.
