Gotham Knights is almost upon us, and will see four of Batman’s closest allies teaming up in order to save Gotham City from another crimewave.

Those who will be picking up the game will be able to clean up the streets alone as one of the four heroes – or team up with another person; so naturally the question of crossplay is one that’s been frequently wondered by fans.

Afraid not. Warner Bros addressed this question, and clarified “Co-op mode can only be played online with an internet connection.”

Do you need an internet connection to play Gotham Knights?

If you’re playing co-op with a friend, you will need an internet connection, of course. However, if you’re playing solo you will be able to play offline.

Is a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live subscription required to play Gotham Knights?

If playing solo, no subscription is required. However, you (and your co-op buddy) will need an online console subscription if you intend to play co-op with a friend.

Can I change characters while playing Gotham Knights solo?

Yes. You’ll be able to change between any of the game’s four heroes at any time during the game. To do so, you’ll just need to head back to the Belfry clocktower – your home base for the game.
