With the revamped installment only having been released in 2021, its player base still has plenty of questions about some of its elements. This includes whether or not the game has crossplay functionality enabled for those looking to play with their friends on different systems. Does Diablo 2 Resurrected have crossplay?

Sadly, the remastered Diablo 2 Resurrected still does not have crossplay functionality even after its glaring omission from the original title. However, there is a chance that this feature could be included in a future update since the game is being continually improved upon by the developers.

The last significant patch for the remade entry was only recently released in February 2023. This update not only ushered in Ladder Season Three, but also introduced changes to various in-game features like Rune Words and Sundering Charms. This is obviously an encouraging sign for players of Diablo 2 Resurrected as this gives them a glimmer of hope when it comes to crossplay integration in the future.

With that said, if you’re planning to party up with friends on different systems, you unfortunately won’t be able to do so at this time. However, you’ll still be able to join up with others playing on the same system as you. Since Diablo 2 Resurrected has been released on several consoles including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC, you shouldn’t have any trouble finding other teammates.
