There are no plans to release Hotline Miami on iOS because the “controls would suck”, the game’s creator has said.

Dennaton broke the news through the game’s official Twitter, denying the possibility of an iOS release after being asked by a fan whether the game would ever make it onto Apple’s platform.

“Nope,” the dev replied. “Controls would suck.”

Fair point.

Hotline Miami first released last year on PC before being ported to PS3 and PS Vita last month.

The game is a fast-paced puzzle-action-shooter-brawler that puts players in the boots of a 1980s assassin. It won multiple awards for its ingenuity, scoring 9/10 for its “whirlwind of violence”.

A sequel is expected to release later this year.
