IO Interactive is planning to release three seasons of Hitman, the developer has revealed, even though the second season “hasn’t been confirmed yet”.

Speaking to a fan on Twitter asking if IO has any plans for a second season, the developer replied: “Of course, our plan is to have three seasons. Although Season Two hasn’t been confirmed yet.”

The developer is only halfway through Hitman’s first season, of course, with three more episodes scheduled to release before the end of 2016. The next episode, Bangkok, releases next Tuesday, August 16.

A disc release containing all seven episodes – including the six main episodes and last month’s summer bonus episode – is due to release early next year.
