Introversion has revealed the title of its next game, but is for the time being keeping any specifics of the game under wraps. That’s not entirely surprising though, with the developer posting on its forum that it is still very early days for the project.

Development has only been underway for a little over a week, but the ideas for Subversion have been kicking around for much longer. Introversion says that the game “has been bubbling away in the backs of our minds for years, and has been an ongoing late night topic for us ever since we pushed it aside in 2003.

Speaking more about the game, Introversion said: “In that time it has changed and grown and solidified and matured into something quite beautiful, and we’re finally in a position to be able to do it justice.

As for when we’ll get our hands of the game, Introversion says that development will take “a couple of years“. The good news is that the general public will be able to follow the game’s development via regular updates posted over on the Introversion forum – one such update was posted earlier this week with news on the first week of development.
