Spider-Man has officially gone gold ahead of its release on PlayStation 4 in early September, developer Insomniac Games has announced on Twitter.
This basically means that development of the web-slinging adventure game is now complete, so we shouldn't expect any delays in the run up to launch.
Spider-Man weaves an all-new storyline that is unrelated to previous incarnations of the Marvel superhero, following a 23-year-old Peter Parker as he juggles his responsibilities as Spidey while working as an intern at a laboratory.
Parker won't be the only playable character in the game, with Mary Jane Watson also rocking up a various points. In terms of bad guys, Spidey will be getting into a ruck with the likes of Mister Negative, Kingpin, Shocker, Electro, and Vulture among others.
Spider-Man will be released for PS4 on September 7, and will be getting a swanky Collector's Edition featuring a host of must-have tat. If that doesn't get your spider sense tingling, then nothing will.
